Hygiene and safety measures

A maximum number of 15 persons allowed to attend within a team- including team players, subs, scorers and spectators
  • Enter the leisure centre by the main entrance doors and exit via the fire doors in the sports hall (near Court 1).
  • Face coverings (cover nose and mouth when worn) are encouraged whilst not playing or umpiring
  • Players should arrive ready changed if possible, with only a small bag – or none at all.
  • Everyone entering the courts must sanitise their hands
  • Players are required to sanitise their hands at the start and end of each quarter
  • A freshly cleaned/sanitised match ball should be used for each quarter – Use match ball no 1 for first and third quarter, match ball no 2 for second and fourth quarter. CENTER player to sanitise ball after play and put in box
  • The post and or post protector at each goal end should be sanitised at the end of each quarter by the GOAL KEEPER on court. Sanitising wipes will be situated by the posts.
  • A clean set of bibs should be worn each match and bib swapping kept to a minimum
  • Teams must vacate the courts immediately after the final whistle
  • Those on team benches encouraged to sit 1m+ apart and wear masks
  • Social norms including handshaking, goal celebrations, high 5’s, three cheers etc are NOT encouraged. Clapping is better
  • Shouting is not encouraged on or off court
  • Players may only play two matches maximum per day
  • Umpires may play in one game and umpire a game
  • Umpires can only umpire 2 matches if they do not play on the day
  • Any person giving or receiving treatment for an injury must wear a mask.
  • In the event of CPR is required, it is strongly advised that you do not perform rescue breaths or mouth to mouth ventilation; perform chest compressions only
  • Any participants (including coaches, officials, volunteers and others) who have been told to self isolate by NHS as a result of being in contact with a known COVID-19 case, must not attend any netball activity
  • No sharing of water bottles
  • Absolutely no litter must be left when teams vacate
  • Social distancing should be maintained wherever possible.
  • Follow all signage
  • Individuals are required to carry out their own health check prior to playing (twice a week Lateral Flow Test recommended)
  • Any post-match paperwork should be shared digitally (this should be photographed and emailed/whats app)

Track & Trace
  • Teams must submit the names of ALL attending members of the squad on the day including the team substitutes, umpire and scorer on the team sheet
  • The club COVID OFFICER must have access to contact details of every attendee and spectator.

Team & Score Sheets
  • Each club to print off their own score and team sheet which must be completed, and a copy sent via email to results@ltnl.co.uk by 8pm the same day

Equipment
  • Teams need to have at least one set of spare bibs to avoid sharing​
  • Teams must bring their own ball if they wish to warm up before their match – cannot use the match ball
  • Teams should have their own supply of hand sanitiser and make sure individuals use it
  • Small first aid kit and facilities to dispose of any waste or soiled items
  • The above is for guidance and to make it as safe as possible for all players and associates of LTNL. Please be considerate as we want as little disruption as possible to this hopefully “Normal Netball Season”. ​
